The Pace Formula and Red Rising

This Week's Note

The Pace Formula

The formula for the pace of our lived experience is (in my opinion) as follows P (pace) equals A (amount of things) divided by T (the amount of time we have to do them). Put in another (algebra inspired way) P=A/T.

Keeping the Pace Formula in mind is helpful because despite feeling otherwise, its not how much we have to do or amount of the time we have, but the pace created when these factors are considered as a pair.

While both fast and slow paces have intrinsic value, we often prefer and unknowingly choose the latter. Unfortunately, enough sprint days in a row has the potent ability to squelch our tricks that keep our hopped up pace feasible. Eventually, our performance trends downwards, and we start to wonder why we’ve been feeing so tired. In this instance, remembering the Pace formula (P=A/T) can be the first step towards sustainability.

This Week's Resource

A Novel from Pierce Brown, titled Red Rising. If you've been looking for a new sci/fi adventure, this inspiring, captivating saga could be up your alley.
